Description

High-quality adhesive Bailey L-6023 — a clear, medium-viscosity solvent cement for reliable joining of pipes and fittings made of PVC, PVC-M and PVC-O up to 200 mm (8") diameter. Supplied in a can with a brush applicator.

  • Effective for both flexible and rigid PVC piping systems
  • Recommended for pipes to SCH 40, SCH 80 and DIN standards
  • Suitable for drinking water supply, swimming pools and SPA systems
  • Applicable in irrigation, drainage and ventilation systems
  • Low VOC (volatile organic compound) content
  • Long shelf life — 3 years when stored correctly
  • Resistant to low temperatures

Important: Bailey L-6023 adhesive must be used together with a primer (cleaner). Degrease and prepare all surfaces before bonding. Not for use with CPVC systems — use TemperGLUE WELD-ON instead.

Clear formulation
The clear colour does not affect the appearance of the installation. Application areas are visible and joint quality is easy to verify.
Clear · Medium viscosity
Fast initial set
Fast initial set reduces installation time. Time before hydraulic testing depends on pipe diameter and ambient temperature.
Fast-setting

Setting time and testing

Setting time depends on pipe diameter, ambient temperature and relative humidity. Values shown are the minimum time before hydraulic testing at pressures up to PN10.

Installation procedure
1
Prepare tools and cut the pipe squarely at a right angle
2
Chamfer the pipe end at 15° to ease insertion into the fitting
3
Mark the bonding depth on the pipe (socket insertion depth)
4
Apply primer to the socket interior of the fitting and the pipe outer surface
5
Apply an even coat of Bailey L-6023 adhesive to the pipe outer surface
6
Apply a thin, even coat of adhesive to the fitting socket interior
7
Push the fitting onto the pipe with a twisting motion of ¼ turn. Hold for 30 seconds
8
Wipe off any excess adhesive. Do not stress the joint until the full setting time has elapsed
⚠️

Safety: Flammable liquid. Use only in well-ventilated areas, away from sources of ignition and sparks. Avoid inhaling vapours. Do not allow entry into drains or water bodies.

Applications
Drinking water supply Pools and SPA Irrigation systems Drainage Ventilation PVC chemical systems Industrial pipework
